Live from Starry Nights Festival

  • "With little fanfare, the quartet took the stage and slipped into a spacey groove and the chilly night air was quickly enveloped with a tripped-out, jazzy vibe that is unfortunately all-too-rare in this neck of the woods. The four musician's, bathed in a frequently spectacular light show, were playing about a hundred yards down the hill from where we sat. They began to converse amongst themselves without saying a word and siren-like trumpet pierced the night. I found myself thinking about seventies' era Mile's Davis, realizing that something special was about to transpire in the cold Kentucky night."

"For the next sixty minutes, Kilimanjaro mesmerized the gathered masses and quickly became the most buzzed-about performers of the day, leaving festival goer's smiling and groping for adjective's that might adequately convey the incredible musical experience that they had become a part of, as punk/jazz quartet worked their improvisational magic, blowing away everyone in attendance, perhaps even themselves." more,0
