"With little fanfare, the quartet took the stage and slipped into a spacey groove and the chilly night air was quickly enveloped with a tripped-out, jazzy vibe that is unfortunately all-too-rare in this neck of the woods. The four musician's, bathed in a frequently spectacular light show, were playing about a hundred yards down the hill from where we sat. They began to converse amongst themselves without saying a word and siren-like trumpet pierced the night. I found myself thinking about seventies' era Mile's Davis, realizing that something special was about to transpire in the cold Kentucky night."
